Belonging should not require anyone to become easier to understand. We want to create more room for people to meet others, encounter ideas, learn, experiment, and express themselves.

We are building a practical guide to existing community support. You do not have to wait for Auralethi to develop its own services to find a place to start.
Select a need, then a region. Each option explains where to go and what to do next. Services, funding, eligibility and availability can change; contact the listed organization to confirm.
Whether you need immediate shelter, rental assistance, eviction information, or help staying housed, start with the appropriate referral service.
Best first step: Find local housing and shelter referrals based on your city or ZIP code.
How: Visit 211info.org, search Housing & Shelter and enter your area, or call 211 (also 866-698-6155). Ask which programs are currently accepting requests.
Ask about accommodations or interpretation if needed.
Best for: Finding the local Community Action Agency handling housing and rental-support programs.
How: Open the state housing resources guide, find your county's Community Action Agency, and contact it about current assistance and required documents.
State-level housing offices generally refer people to local providers rather than granting direct emergency aid.
Best for: Connecting disability-related long-term support needs with local services.
How: Call 855-673-2372 or use the Oregon ADRC information page. Explain your needs, location, and any accessibility barriers.
If you received an eviction summons: Act promptly. The state's housing guidance recommends contacting your Community Action Agency, the Eviction Defense Project, and 211 for available help.
Start with 211.org to find participating local referral services. Availability differs by region.
Use the HUD assistance directory to locate homelessness, rental assistance, public housing, and housing counseling options. You can also call 800-569-4287 for housing counseling.
If disability, neurodivergence or accessibility needs make housing or benefits navigation harder, tell the referral service what accommodations would help. In Oregon, start with ODHS disability services or call the ADRC at 855-673-2372. Eligibility and available programs vary.
